Just before 8:30 a.m. on Monday, November 22nd, units with Stafford County Fire and Rescue (SCFR) responded for a reported structure fire in the 00 block of Kettlebrook Court in northern Stafford County. First arriving units marked on location less than five minutes later and reported fire coming from a garage on the front of the home. Crews made entry and found the fire had started extending into the home. The fire was marked under control approximately ten minutes after arrival.
One occupant self-evacuated prior to the arrival of units and reported minor injuries and refused transport. Smoke alarms were present in the residence and did activate. The occupants are temporarily displaced but declined the assistance of the American Red Cross.
The fire is under investigation by the Stafford County Fire Marshal’s Office. SCFR units were assisted on scene by Quantico Fire and Emergency Services.
