Just after 1:40 a.m. on Saturday, November 20th, units with Stafford County Fire and Rescue (SCFR) responded for a reported structure fire in the 00 block of Wallace Farms Lane in the southern portion of the county. First arriving units marked on location approximately five minutes later and reported smoke coming from the chimney of a three story single family home. Upon further investigation, crews found fire on the roof line in the rear of the home on the outside as well as fire on the roof line inside the home. The fire was marked under control approximately five minutes after arrival.
Four occupants self-evacuated prior to the arrival of units, and reported minor injuries; all were treated at the scene. No working smoke alarms were present. The occupants are temporarily displaced and are receiving assistance from the American Red Cross.
The fire is under investigation by the Stafford County Fire Marshal’s Office. SCFR units were assisted on scene by Quantico Fire and Emergency Services and the Fredericksburg Fire Department.
